GOLDEN PACIFIC COAST OF CALIFORNIA, JULY 2016

We with Margy desided to drive this summer to Mexico, instead of flying. We choose the longest way, not using only I-5. We traveled by our newer red car Toyota Matrix from Crescent  City on the Oregon state border till LA on the Pacific cost of California on our way to Puerto Penasco (on the bottom of Sea of Cortes) in the end of July 2016. We stopped to sleep and see Eureka, continued around San Francisco till Monterrey Bay, stopped there for 2 nights and 1 full day to see the Aquarium and drive around the bay. Next stop was San Simenon to see Hearst Castle. Our  last short stop was on Point Piedras Blancas to see and take photos of the Recent Colony  of hundreds or thousands Elephant Seals.  After that we drove through Santa Barbara and Malibu till almost LA.
From Oxnard we left the coast road to go sleep in Thousand Oaks in the country.. From there we found !-10 and drove to Arizona and Mexico. We did not stopped in San Francisco and LA because we spend there in both cities and around one week in our first visit to California from Seattle (in July 1990) when we came to visit Sylvia. She  was then student in Art Institute of Seattle. We were in San Diego too for one weekend in the summer of 2014, driving from Scottsdale, using I-8. Some day we will drive may be from San Diego to LA, or vice versa, to cover in full all Pacific coast of California. Some of the best  photos we have taken on the both US roads #1 (oldest) and #101-new Hi Way around the coast, (parallel or coinciding with #1), are shown in this blog-album.
