CHRISTMAS LIGHTS IN THANKSGIVING WEEK, WHISTLER, B.C. NOV.2016

Like every year since 1998 we spent our Thanksgiving Week in Whistler, BC, Canada in our time share small apartment in Whisky Jack Resort at the Village center. There was a little snow in the Village and more snow on both Black Comb and Whistler Mountains. I did skiing 1 day before opening and 3 more days after opening of the ski-season and all ski runs. Every evening we with Margy were walking around the village enjoying the beautiful Christmas lighting one  month before Christmas. All trees on the central streets and in the Olympic garden were decorated with blue, green and red lights. On Thanksgiving day we made traditional Turkey Dinner with our Friends Misho (Mike) and  Maya.

On the back way to Seattle we stopped at Canadian  Duty free shop to refill our Scotch Whisky - Caribbean Rom - French Brandy - Irish Cream bar. The road was clean and dry, the sky - blue. It was very pleasant vacation .

The charges for skiing and the maintenance fee of our unit increase every year, but the traveling is very cheap. We are always  using our cars and only one thank with gasoline, bought in Seattle. In Canada everything is 2 times more expensive than in USA. We carry all food and drinks from home. Canada is naw very expensive  for retired Americans. But Whistler, BC is the best ski-resort around Washington State of USA and we can't resict to not going there.

FROM TORONTO, ONTARIO TO MONTREAL, QUEBEC IN CANADA BY TRAIN, OKT.2016

After seeing the main cities of Quebec - Quebec city and Montreal I went to visit my relatives in Toronto and Brampton by train. The distance is about 350 miles (over 500 km. and  I choose traveling by train. To long by bus, too short by plain. I bought my tickets on Internet from Seattle, printed them with my printer and only needed to be scanned by the train manager. I had beside me very intelligent young African-Canadian young man, working for Aerospace Agency. With him we had all the time interesting conversations on different topics. Five hours passed like 50 minutes and I was met at the Union Rail-Way Station in Toronto by my nephew Stan Junior. He lives in Brampton, some 45 km (30 miles) from Toronto. I was in this area for the third time and came not like tourist, but gest to my relatives. He drove his new Ford Focus Super car on the highways like Fitipaldu or Chubrikov and we riched his town-House in Brampton for very short time. We were met by his wife Snejka and his mother - my sister Tzanka with ready table for late lunch-yearly dinner, witch continued form 5 pm tilt 1 am after midnight. We drinked  all Bulgarian rakia (grape brandy, schnapps, grappa or pisco), he had, ate all delicious food and pickles on the table and went to sleep. Next day  after breakfast I was delivered back to Toronto to see the house and the family of his son Joro, and from there I took again the train for Montreal for another 5 hours. On back way I took some photos shown in this blog-album. Is was beautiful sunny day with blue sky, the best part of my last photos of Canadian Nature.
