SUNSETS IN PUERTO PENASCO, MEXICO

Sunsets in all tropical countries we have been are similar, like in Mozambique, Angola, Egypt, South California, Florida, Arizona and Mexico. They are better over the ocean than over the mountains.
When the sun rises and sets, the sunlight traveling through the atmosphere comes in contact with pollutants and scatters creating beautiful sunrises and sunsets, a case where dirty practices create beauty.
The colors of the sunset result from a phenomenon called scattering. Molecules and small particles in the atmosphere change the direction of light rays, causing them to scatter.
The colors of sunset are determined by "scattering". Small particles, like dust, and molecules in the atmosphere, change the direction of light, causing them to scatter.
Scattering affects the color of light coming from the sky but the exact color has more to do with wavelength of the light and the size of the particles.
If the particle is small compared with the wavelengths of visible light, it will scatter short wavelengths, such as blues and violets, more than long wavelengths, such as red.
I have in my photo collection a lot of photos of sunsets mainly in Puerto Penasco, Mexico, where they are over the Pacific Ocean. The bets of them are shown in this Album of Sunsets.
