THE HOLLY LAND OF ISRAEL 4 - TIBERIAS, CAPERNAUM AND JARDENIT, APR.2014

Herod, the last King of Judea built the city of Tiberias in 18 CE and named it for the Roman Emperor who ruled Judea this time. The crumbling remains of the 12th Century Crusader Castle overlook the Sea of Galilee. Pleasant beaches and historically and religiously sites grace the area, that’s surrounded the Sea of Galilee.
According the New Testament Jesus walked on the waters of the Sea of Galilee. The Church of the Bread and Fish in Tabghe is the site, where Jesus is said to have fed 5,000 pilgrims with 5 loaves and 2 small fish (Matthew 14:13-21). The Church of the Primacy of St. Peter commemorates the spot, where Jesus made Peter “Shepherd of his People”. Capernaum, the birthplace of  St .Peter  was the place, where Jesus healed Simon’s mother in law and the Roman centurion’s servant (Luke 4:31-37 and 7:1-10). Yardenit, The Gospel say that is the place  where  St. John baptized Jesus in Jordan River. We where baptized too there and  received a certificate for visitation of Baptismal site on the Jordan River in Yardenit on 04/28/2014.  Copy of this certificate is shown in the  end of this album.

TEL AVIV - THE CAPITOL OF ISRAEL, APR.2014

Tel Aviv is the Capitol of the new State of Israel, founded again in 1949 by United Nation on the land of old Judea, after the last Kingdom of Herod in first Century CE. It is contemporary city on the coast of Mediterranean Sea. We landed there on the International Airport and were transported to the old Capitol – Jerusalem by car. From there we did our touristic tours in the Holy Land of Israel. First we visited the Old city of Jerusalem, second - Dead Sea and Masada Castle in South Israel. Our third tour to North Israel – Nazareth and Sea of Galilee started from Tel Aviv. We were delivered back by small bus, together with other tourists and attached to a bigger luxury bus for full day travel around North Israel. We succeed to take some photos on the way from Jerusalem to and through Tel Aviv. The most representative building is of their Parliament, like is the Capitol building in Washington, DC. Around the Coast are built many new hotels and luxury apartment buildings and houses. It’s look like you are in some tropical paradise in Central or South Amerika, not in deserts of the Middle East. The best photos from Tel Aviv are shown in this short blog-album.
