SKIING IN WHISTLER, BC, CANADA 2, NOV.- DEC. 2014
We bought Time share in 1998 in Whistler, BC, and Canada for
Thanksgiving week (last week of November) for 99 years. We drive there to do
skiing every year this time of the year. There is always snow on both Whistler
and Black Comb Mountains good for skiing. I always do skiing last 17 years with
somebody -relatives or friends. This year my company were our family friend
Radka (check American) and like last year Iva, the daughter of our best friends
in USA Sasho and Sylva. Iva came especially for skiing from Connecticut, New
England. First 3 days was raining, but the snow was good for skiing. Only we
were totally wet and dried our ski costumes in the Dryer. But lasts 3 days the
temperature fall down from ((+1)-(+3) to (-12)-(-23)) C on the ski runs. Every
slope was transferred from snow run to ice run, covered by thin snow. It was
very difficult, but we all skiers did skiing never mind of the weather
conditions. There were skiers from England, Germany, Australia, New Zeeland,
Montreal, Quebec and Vancouver, BC and
mostly from Seattle, WA, because this is the longest Holyday Vacation in USA -
4 days. Some people came like us for a full week. We were lucky too for the
good road conditions. There was no any snow on the roads, only on the top of
the Mountains. The distance is only 215 miles (346 km) one direction. Normal
driving time is 4 hours (+ waiting 15-30 min. on the border). Whistler, BC is 49 Degrees North Latitude,
Seattle,WA – 47 Degrееs (Sofia, BG – 42 Degrееs).The
driving is on I-5 in USA and SR 75 and I-1 -around Vancouver, BC and I 99 in
the mountains North of Vancouver, BC in Canada. It was wonderful winter
vacation. Next year we will go again, like every year till now, until we can do driving and skiing…
