We spend with Margy in Cartagena 2 days, instead of one. Because we missed the Cruise Ship in Miami , FL. We fled to Cartagena and waited the Ship there in the hotel Hamilton of Hilton in the new beautiful part of the city of Cartagena at the Beach. We saw ourselves this part of the city and in the next day, when we catched the Ship we hired private guide with car to show us only the old part of the city.
On this Cartagena tour, we saw the historic sites like Las Bovedas, the Saint Peter Claver Church, and more. Our city tour began with a drive around Manga Island, a beautiful neighborhood known for its lavish homes and wealthy residents. From there, we continued toward San Felipe Fort and the Old Shoes Monument, where we took photos. The former Fort is an impressive fortress dating back to the 1500s while the Shoos Monument is a monument that represents an old pair of shoes from a poem by a local artist. On this tour of Cartagena we made a photo stop at the Inquisition Palace, a beautiful Baroque-style palace that was used in the Spanish Inquisition, and now houses a museum.
After seeing attractions like Las Bovedas and the Saint Peter Claver Church, we had the chance to drive around Cartagena Bay before finishing our tour. This Cartagena history tour included admission to the Saint Pedro Claver Church.
